Classroom Blogging

I thought classroom blogging was not for me. But I am slowly catching on!!! I wish I would have set up a blog for students to comment about their summer reading and I could respond back with questions or comments. This can also be applied to a guided reading group during the school year. No need to take reading responses home to read/comment - just jump on the blog and add comments to students from home! As a class, we contributed to the QUEST poetry blog but we did not go back and comment to others. Next year I need to model that feature of blogging so students and parents can respond to classroom blogs. It is a great way to use technology to extend student learning. It also promotes the home/school connections where parents can add comments at any time.
